ILEGALESThe band ILEGALES was born in 1995 under the leadership of Vladimir Dotel, who, since his beginnings, tried to find a danceable musical style and a singular sound that, with the passing of time, put the band into a special place in the Tropical musical world.
Its sound, a mix of Hip Hop, Merengue House and Reggae among other genres, makes Ilegales a fusion urban Tropical band. The name of Ilegales was given by Vladimir Dotel himself, that was born in the United States and when he was really young emigrated to Dominican Republic, where he lived as an “ilegal” for a long time in his forefathers’ land.
Music Business and audience recognized the talent of Ilegales that gained a lot of awards such as: 6 Lo Nuestro Prize (Univision – USA), 7 Casandra Prizes (Dominican Republic), Orquídea de Oro y Platino (Venevisión Venenzuela), an Eres Prize (Mexico), a Billboard Award (USA). The band took part twice in the Festival Del Viña del Mar gaining two Gaviota de Plata (Chile), Radio y Música (USA), 2 Grammy nominations and two nominations for Juventud Premios Awards.

With its production “Marca Registrada”, the band won the audience thanks to tracks such as “La Cosita”, “Mi Novia” and once again had an impact on the music world with their ballad hit “Siento”.
Ilegales released “La Historia” a compilation with all their hits (both CD and DVD), giving us tracks such as “Dame Un Chin”, a duet with “El Caballo” Johnny Ventura.
