Melanie begins the 2007 with the challenge of two new singles before the release of "This Time", the single that has been released in Italy and the United Kingdom is an incredible contemporary cover of the 1982 hit "I Want Candy". Melanie's version is produced by Stephen Hague (New Order, Siouxsie & the Banshees and Robbie Williams) and track of the British film, which was announced by Empire as "a British American Pie .... . I Want Candy in Italy stands at No.9 in the singles charts by Nielsen (first time for Mel to get rated so high in Italy), becoming one of the most played and sold songs in Spring 2007. The history

It contains tracks produced by former New Radicals frontman Gregg Alexander and Marius De Vries (Madonna, Rufus Wainwright), boasted a sound of growing musical maturity and quickly became a gold record with the Top Ten lead single "Here It Comes Again" .
The Red Girl and the independent worldwide network
In 2004, Melanie founded her own independent label - Red Girl Records-named in honor of her beloved football team ,Liverpool Football Club, and her propensity to blush easily, this very important and courageous step will give her a total artistic freedom.
But Melanie does not stop here and creates a network with the best independent labels in the world (in Italy Planet Records), and releases "Beautiful Intentions", the third solo album by Melanie C, the first totally independent.
It becomes immediately a hit with the Top Ten single "Next Best Superstar" followed by the hit "First Day Of My Life ', written by Guy Chambers and Enrique Iglesias, which reached Number 1 in Spain, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland and Portugal, and made it one of Europe's most successful single of 2005.
